With our passion, creativity, and innovation, “We capture what moves”. We have a new exciting opportunity to add a Purchasing Specialist to our team at our Lebanon, Ohio production facility. The Purchasing Specialist supports MANE’s efforts to source, bid, and procure Indirect materials, parts and services. Interacts with all internal departments, external contractors and vendors. Key competencies: Analytical Skills, Communication and Interpersonal Skills, Mathematical Skills including Weights and Conversions, and Computer Skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year of purchasing experience is preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Flavor industry desired
  • Microsoft experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process orders.
  • Ensure orderly procurement processes and controls as required.
  • Inform all stakeholders of procurement activities and solicit input on potential savings (i.e. procurement plan, target costing) to fulfill requirements in terms of schedules and quality.
  • Source and evaluate current and potential suppliers.
  • Maintain SAP to control new stock items and ensure coding on purchase requests in SAP are accurate.
  • Work with requestors on any discrepancies or issues.
  • Process order returns.
  • Systematically forward important project information (e.g. updated contract conditions, supplier management data) to ensure all project members are updated.
  • Resolve any receipt issues.
  • Verify receipts of service call orders and parts orders including hours worked and parts charged.
  • Resolve invoice issues as requested by Finance.
  • Cost savings initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
