This role involves managing MRO (Maintenance, Repairs and Operations) inventory, including tracking, pricing, usage, and ideal stocking levels. The coordinator will work with Plant Engineers and the Purchasing Manager on cost-saving initiatives, verify incoming materials, maintain inventory records using an ERP system, and monitor consumable MRO items and safety supplies. Key duties also include generating purchase requisitions, executing releases on standing orders, coordinating commodity releases, assisting and training requisitioners, and identifying new supply sources. The position requires receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming materials, conducting physical inventories, and initiating purchase requisitions for various supplies. Daily tasks involve advanced PC and business computer applications, telephone conferencing, and email. The coordinator must understand and assist with RIS’ Occupational Health & Safety program and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, maintain Ross 40-hour safety training, and perform field duties including pre-shutdown checklists.
