Wachter is looking for a highly organized and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to work in our Mt. Laurel, NJ office. The Purchasing Coordinator will perform a variety of activities in support of successfully ordering, delivering, and distributing parts for all Wachter Divisions. Expedite the flow of materials to meet production schedules and customer expectations. Empowered to communicate directly with distributors, suppliers, and other departments within Wachter. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Experience working in an IT-related industry is a plus.
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers, including email, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office programs, and web-based platforms.
  • Excellent customer relationship and communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic networking terminology and product descriptions.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
  • Must interact well in a team environment and demonstrate interpersonal relations by displaying a positive customer service attitude.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability, and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
  • Provide logistics coordination.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an IT-related industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Wachter Divisions to assist with identifying product part numbers and researching different options.
  • Works with vendors and distributors to determine if the product is available to meet schedules and customer needs and obtain ETAs.
  • Creates IOR and completes the process for all Wachter divisions as assigned.
  • Confirm receipt of orders with vendors and obtain tracking information.
  • Completes entry of Purchase orders as assigned.
  • Expedite and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Resolves problems related to orders, deliveries, and invoice pricing discrepancies.
  • Work with multiple resources to source necessary goods.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
