About The Position

Premier Pump & Power is a fast-moving, engineered-to-order manufacturer of industrial pump systems used in demanding applications across North America. We don’t operate like a slow, bureaucratic OEM—we move fast, solve real problems, and expect our leaders to take ownership. We’re looking for a high-impact Purchasing Manager in Spring, Texas who can take full ownership of procurement strategy, drive measurable cost reductions, and ensure our production floor never waits on parts. If you’ve led purchasing in a manufacturing environment and know how to balance cost, quality, and speed—this is a role where you can make a visible, immediate impact. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Spring, Texas.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, supply chain management, and purchasing agreements with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven track record in manufacturing purchasing or supply chain leadership
  • Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated cost savings results
  • Deep understanding of MRP/ERP systems and inventory dynamics
  • Ability to read BOMs, understand engineered products, and work with technical teams
  • Experience managing suppliers across fabricated components, mechanical parts, and commodities (e.g., steel)
  • High ownership mindset—you don’t wait for direction, you solve problems
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment
  • Employment will be conditioned upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and a drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Full accountability for procurement performance: cost, delivery, and supplier reliability
  • Execution of purchasing strategy aligned with production and growth targets
  • Ownership of MRP-driven purchasing execution—ensuring the right parts arrive at the right time
  • Supplier strategy: sourcing, onboarding, negotiating, and managing performance
  • Cost reduction initiatives across materials, components, and vendor base
  • Risk mitigation across the supply chain (long-lead items, single-source exposure, shortages)
  • Leadership and development of purchasing team members (if applicable)
  • Cross-functional alignment with Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Finance
