About The Position

To strengthen our Supply Chain team, we are looking for a Purchasing & Logistics Specialist. You will be responsible for supporting SICPA entities in the United States. You will be located at SICPA Securink Corp in Springfield, VA. You will be responsible for the following tasks: Execute worldwide supplier purchasing, coordinate direct shipments, place and confirm purchase orders, and address shortages, quality problems, and escalations. Facilitate import and export execution and problem-solving, coordinating closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal stakeholders to prevent delays and reduce cost. Own product classification using Harmonized System codes (HTS and Schedule B), maintain audit-ready support, and standardize classification practices across the team. Provide trade compliance expertise, including ITAR considerations and Country of Origin certification/documentation; serve as a primary point of contact for compliance questions and escalations. Ensure accurate and timely procurement and logistics transactions within SAP Procure-to-Pay (P2P), promoting data integrity standards across SAP P2P, Material Master, and (as applicable) SAP GTS. Create ISO standards alignment for the function by developing documentation, supporting audit readiness, and driving corrective actions to closure.

Requirements

  • BS or equivalent experience in related field
  • Minimum of 5 years Procurement experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of Import/export experience
  • Intermediate to advanced level user of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, TEAMS and Power Point
  • Ability to negotiate successfully
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and resourcefulness

Nice To Haves

  • SAP Intermediate to advanced level user (P2P, MM and GTS modules) preferred
