About The Position

This role supports the Purchasing organization by providing advanced data analysis and sourcing support to Senior Buyers. The individual will be responsible for analyzing spend data from multiple systems (e.g., Excel and Oracle), developing insights, and helping execute RFQ (Request for Quotation) activities. This position plays a key role in identifying cost-saving opportunities and supporting sourcing strategies across a high volume of purchased items. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, data-driven, and proactive—someone who can take raw data, build a clear “picture of the spend,” and help buyers turn that into actionable sourcing strategies and cost savings.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, lookups, data cleansing, etc.).
Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle or similar preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.
Ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations for sourcing decisions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
High attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume purchasing environment.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including suppliers and plant personnel.
Ability to understand technical concepts.
Time Management (including effectively managing email and calendar).
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Experience supporting RFQs, sourcing events, or purchasing activities.
Background in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement analytics.
Familiarity with indirect purchasing categories and supplier management processes.

Responsibilities

Analyze purchasing and spend data from Excel and ERP system (Oracle) to identify trends, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
Support Senior Buyers in the development and execution of RFQs, including data preparation, supplier outreach support, and bid comparison analysis.
Consolidate and transform large datasets into clear, actionable insights and visual summaries.
Work cross-functionally with plants, buyers, subject matter experts, and internal stakeholders to gather and validate sourcing data.
Develop spend overviews by category, supplier, and commodity to support sourcing strategy development.
Assist in identifying cost reduction opportunities through supplier benchmarking, spend aggregation, and data-driven insights.
Maintain and organize sourcing data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing data, reporting, and sourcing processes.
