Requirements

  • High school diploma with industrial purchasing experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

  • Handling the day-to-day purchasing of materials and supplies in a timely manner as required.
  • Ensuring appropriate inventory levels.
  • Vendor pricing negotiations.
  • Ensuring the timeliness of products from vendors and customers products to the service center.
  • Order parts for jobs promptly, as advised by service center departments.
  • Collaborate with technicians to ensure the proper products and parts are ordered.
  • Obtain pricing and availability on parts to support project estimation, including working with our sales team for repair by replacement options.
  • Maintain procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
  • Proactively communicate with outside vendors on a scheduled basis to confirm order statuses and delivery timelines. When changes occur, communicate internally to operations to improve project planning efficiency.
  • Resolve or assist in resolving all prices and/or ordering discrepancies relative to purchased materials, incoming shipments, and outside invoices.
  • Continually look for ways to improve the efficiency of the supply chain.
  • Dispatch our truck driver for all customers' pickups and deliveries, and coordinate services with our industrial field service group and other service centers in the region.
  • Support the operations team with project entry, quoting, and expediting during busy periods.
  • Manage all repair tags using the Service Center's engraver and associated software.
  • Be professional, especially when representing the company during phone or personal contact with outside vendors, customers, or service providers, etc.
  • Participating in Continuous Improvement Process Systems.
  • All other duties as assigned.
