Verco Decking Inc., a division of Nucor Corporation, is currently seeking applicants for a Purchasing Coordinator, located in our Phoenix, AZ location. Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office applications
  • Purchasing, or similar, experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong commitment to Safety in all job aspects
  • Excellent Communication skills, written, and verbal
  • Attention to detail; maintain accuracy and timeliness in all tasks
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Problem solving, pursue results
  • Initiative and seek out work that needs to be done, willingness to take on additional responsibilities and challenges

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP
  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating effectively with customers, vendors, and teammates.
  • Executing purchase orders for suppliers.
  • Performing steel checks daily and verifying inventory coverage.
  • Executing weekly corporate reporting.
  • Working closely with plants during inventory cycle, verifying counts.
  • Preparing inventory package for leadership team.
  • Assisting with the approval process on steel invoices.
  • Reporting any issues with inventory and following up until issues are resolved.
  • Supporting the team and other departments as needed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Initiating, leading, and upholding safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
