About The Position

As a Purchasing Coordinator with Systems Control, you will provide purchasing and administrative support to the Procurement and Supply Chain Management teams. This is an onsite position in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Systems Control is part of Hubbell Utility Solutions, which provides components, communications, and control technologies for utility applications and the electrical grid.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least 1 year of experience in purchasing or a business environment.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with internal customers and external suppliers.
Strong organizational skills.
Sound problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Support Material Coordinators and Supply Chain in issuing purchase orders and tracking deliveries for materials, supplies, equipment, and outside services.
Receive acknowledgements, track late deliveries, and communicate with suppliers.
Update and track supplier quality issues in the NCN process, ensuring credits are received in a timely manner.
Create quarterly supplier scorecards.
Maintain and update material and vendor information in Syteline, including pricing, lead time, and minimum/maximum levels.
Maintain and update blanket purchase orders as needed.
Assist the department in obtaining material and service quotations.
Assist with updating department delivery, quality, and cost metrics monthly.
Assist with updating supplier diversity spend monthly.
Assist the Material Specialist and Buyers with adding or removing items from Kanban and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).
Maintain the purchasing department filing system and update appropriate records as required.
Assist Accounts Payable by processing invoices for payment.
Execute weekly or bi-weekly reports to evaluate shifts in demand for key materials.
Support the Material Coordinator, Buyers, and Director of Supply Chain Management with specific projects.
