About The Position

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for researching product requirements, sourcing vendors, and working with vendors to obtain the highest quality products at competitive prices through the bid process. This role requires a focus on creating a positive guest experience through cleanliness, safety, speed, friendliness, and fun. The position involves coordinating purchase orders, managing inventory, and collaborating with departmental directors and managers.

Requirements

• Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
• Knowledge of OSHA storage regulations and hazard chemical labeling and other applicable OSHA requirements.
• Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures.
• Knowledge of gaming and alcohol beverage control laws and regulations.
• Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule.
• Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment.
• Zero (0) to three (3) years of experience in purchasing related positions.
• A two (2) year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.

Nice To Haves

• Food & Beverage experience preferred.
• Experience using Stratton Warren System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiating with vendors to find quality product at competitive prices and adequate delivery time.
• Coordinating the purchase order and bid solicitation process.
• Maintaining accurate inventory of the warehouse.
• Meeting with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
• Daily inventory stock ordering.
• Other duties as assigned.
