About The Position

Loenbro is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support its procurement process by sourcing and procuring materials and equipment for electrical projects. The role focuses on maintaining cost-effective, efficient supply chains while meeting quality standards. The Purchasing Agent works with vendors and internal project teams to meet project requirements and support profitability.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role within the electrical or construction industries.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms and conditions, and establish vendor relationships to secure reliable, cost-effective sources of materials and equipment.
Place orders for electrical materials, equipment, and supplies in a timely manner to meet project requirements and optimize costs.
Maintain accurate inventory records, track usage, and replenish stock to prevent shortages and reduce excess inventory.
Monitor and analyze pricing trends, negotiate favorable terms, and implement cost-saving strategies.
Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure purchased materials and equipment meet required standards and specifications.
Maintain detailed procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to understand project requirements and align procurement efforts.
