About The Position

Requirements

• Strong organization, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Prior experience working for either an electrical contractor or an electrical distributor
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, and procurement processes

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Vista/Viewpoint preferred
• Experience with Mechanical / HVAC contractors or distributors
• Experience with Plumbing / piping contractors or distributors
• Experience with Fire protection / sprinkler systems
• Experience with Low-voltage, telecommunications, or structured cabling companies
• 2+ years of purchasing or project support experience in the electrical industry preferred
• Commercial and/or industrial project experience
• Low voltage or wireless experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers to plan and execute purchasing strategies aligned with project estimates and timelines
• Prepare, review, and issue purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to protect company interests
• Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals and make recommendations
• Track and ensure timely receipt of contracts, insurance certificates, and required documentation
• Coordinate with internal teams (Fleet, Logistics, Project Teams) on equipment and material needs
• Maintain accurate data in project and cost systems
• Support cost control and estimating initiatives through accurate reporting and insights
