About The Position

Quality Consulting Group is seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Agent to join its team supporting the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, and manufacturing industries in Puerto Rico and the United States. The role focuses on resolving invoice discrepancies, coordinating credit and shipment hold requests, supporting supplier account resolution, and working with Accounts Payable and Supply Chain colleagues to facilitate timely payment processing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area; Supply Chain, Business, or Accounting is preferred, though experience is emphasized.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable, invoice resolution, procurement, or shared services.
• Experience with SAP.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Ariba, ReadSoft, and ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Experience with vendor master updates, supplier banking documentation, and invoice exception resolution.
• Experience supporting global operations, reporting, training, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Review and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Receive and coordinate incoming Credit Hold and Shipment Hold requests through ServiceNow or other intake methods.
• Create price change intake forms when pricing differs between a Purchase Order and an invoice, ensuring intake is completed according to standards.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Planner Buyers to obtain support in resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Review supplier statements of account and provide suppliers with direct feedback and updates, including regular meetings when warranted by criticality.
• Work with Accounts Payable to support timely posting and release of payments for past-due accounts.
