Your Opportunity: Venture Solutions, a division of Taylor Corporation, is looking to hire an experienced Purchasing Agent to join our Fort Worth, TX team! In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing raw materials & supplies from vendors and inventory control. Work Authorization: To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Procurement, or 5+ years of equivalent experience
  • Ability to adapt to multiple technology stacks
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven collaborator and team player who creates an environment of teamwork; success in interacting and influencing individuals and teams
  • Critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and committed to strategic and results driven improvements
  • Excellent problem-solving capability, especially during high pressure situations
  • Ability to adapt and respond positively to organizational and/or industry changes and advancements
  • Highly skilled in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications – experience with pivot tables, vlookups, etc. preferred

  • Previous paper and envelope buying experience
  • General knowledge of ERPs
  • General accounting practices

Responsibilities

  • Execute purchase orders for raw material to be used in the printing and manufacturing process
  • Maintain PO life cycle from creation to delivery
  • Understanding of inventory controls
  • Interaction with Client owned and purchased inventory
  • Develop and maintain forecasting within materials purchased
  • Ensure execution of operational processes that deliver the highest level of satisfaction to our internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and implement areas of opportunity to streamline and/or improve processes through analysis of needs and feedback from cross-functional partners
  • Manage communications to supplier base
  • Interact with suppliers at the tactical level to streamline any customer related tasks when issues are escalated for resolution
