About The Position
Blunier Builders, Inc., a growing post-frame construction company based in Washington, IL, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Purchasing Agent to join our team. We specialize in agricultural, residential, and commercial post-frame buildings and pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects efficiently and on time.
Requirements
- 2+ years in the construction industry experience preferably in construction purchasing
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction materials, and industry standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Pre-employment background check and drug screen required
Responsibilities
- Order and track materials for construction projects to ensure timely delivery
- Cross reference blueprints and material lists to ensure order accuracy
- Comply with all relevant building codes
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate deliveries to align with project schedules
- Evaluate supplier performance and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
