About The Position

Purchasing Agent – Keep Operations Moving at Meyer! Are you detail-oriented, a strong negotiator, and passionate about supply chain efficiency? Meyer is looking for a proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team and play a key role in sourcing quality materials, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring our operations run smoothly and cost-effectively. Meyer is a growing, family-owned company where you're more than a number, you're family! Purchasing Agents will work closely with Purchasing Managers and Lead Buyers to place purchase orders for stocking items. This includes continuous monitoring of on-hand inventory, sales statistics, and general forecasting of future trends. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Creating purchase orders for stocking inventory Tracking the status of placed orders Managing basic vendor interactions Recognizing when to escalate issues to the Manager Collaborating closely with Managers and the Director to place stock orders Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Experience performing entry-level purchasing tasks Proficiency with computers and general technology If you’re ready to take ownership of a vital role and help power our success from behind the scenes, we want to hear from you!
