The Pulmonary Program Manager will collaborate with leadership to lead and implement strategies for the Program's alignment with the CCHMC mission and vision. This role involves identifying, leading, and directing process/quality improvement activities, measuring and maintaining program outcomes, and overseeing collaborations with other departments/divisions. The manager will create processes and collaborations relevant to program stakeholders, build consensus for programmatic and financial maturation, and lead and coordinate integration of activities both inside and outside the organization. Additionally, the role provides leadership for internal/external education offerings, oversight for competency requirements/resources, and develops educational training using current evidence and research. The manager will also manage reporting personnel, including recruitment, development, training, discipline, termination, evaluation, salary, payroll, and retention. This includes identifying and correcting personnel management issues, and potentially creating position descriptions and performance evaluation criteria. The role focuses on staff development through training, consultation, coaching, and communication, acting as a resource for specific subject matter. The manager will also lead and hold teams accountable for program operations and strategic targets, and work with team leads to develop their leadership abilities. The role functions in a clinical expert capacity and facilitates team collaboration and communication. Furthermore, the manager will identify, develop, and implement new methods, processes, and systems to improve team efficiency, including leveraging AI for data quality and reporting. They will also direct and coordinate daily operations, establish and monitor business processes, and implement policies and procedures for improved utilization, quality, and operations. This includes identifying opportunities for cost and quality improvement, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS), and promoting programmatic development, efficient work and patient flow, supply and instrument management, and a safe culture. Financial management responsibilities include assisting faculty with grant-related projects, developing and managing annual operating budgets, implementing financial controls, evaluating variances, and providing oversight in revenue cycle management and monthly revenue reporting.
