About The Position

The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences has a faculty position opening for a Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Physician in the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine seeks a full-time Sleep Medicine physician to support a rapidly growing, capacity-constrained program. This position is primarily clinical (90% clinical effort, 10% teaching) and is designed to expand access, improve patient outcomes, and support the academic mission.

Requirements

• MD or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of internal medicine residency.
• Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
• Current license in the State of Ohio required, prior to beginning the position.
• Fellowship trained in Pulmonary and Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide 7 half-day clinics per week for ambulatory sleep clinic.
• Perform new consultations and longitudinal follow-up care for sleep medicine patients.
• Initiate and manage PAP therapy and other sleep-related treatments.
• Interpret sleep studies, including in-lab polysomnography (PSG), PAP titration studies, home sleep apnea testing (HSAT), and Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), as applicable.
• Ensure timely reporting and integration of sleep study results into clinical care.
• Participate in fellow education and supervision in Sleep Medicine.
• Provide didactic sessions, case-based teaching, and bedside instruction.
• Contribute to the academic mission of the division and department.
