About The Position

The Energy & Earth Journals team is seeking a Journal Publisher to oversee a portfolio of journals in the earth sciences and take project oversight of select initiatives and team projects. This role is full-time and can be based in a key publishing office in the US or Europe, with support for hybrid working arrangements. Candidates will be considered for either an Associate or standard Publisher level role.

Requirements

Fluent in English (verbal and written communication).
Minimum education to bachelor's degree level.
Work experience of 2-3 years in a publishing role or in academic research is desirable.
The role level offered will depend on experience.

Nice To Haves

An educational background in a related field is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Journal development: balance maintaining the superior performance of a portfolio of titles with supporting goals around accelerated growth of quality content.
Editor appointments: carefully manage new editor appointments and ensure journals have editorial structures that are diverse and dynamic.
Community engagement: engage with customers through careful relationship-management and regular communication, and share customer insight with the team.
Brand visibility: improve the visibility of journal brands and company tools and services through effective outreach and competitive analysis.
Project management: champion select initiatives, follow up on actions and recommendations, and ensure team engagement and delivery.
Teamwork: work closely with colleagues to help deliver on collaborative projects and goals.
