About The Position

This position is one of several technical advisory positions within the Florida Public Service Commission. As such, this position requires the review and analysis of petitions filed by regulated utilities in order to prepare written recommendations. Such recommendations are subsequently presented by the staff member for consideration by the five Public Service Commissioners at public meetings. A qualified candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate orally and in writing technical information in a clear and concise manner, prepare spreadsheets, graphs, and other visual aids to assist in presenting such information and manage workload to ensure that deadlines are met.

Requirements

  • Four years of relevant work experience in accounting, finance, mathematics, statistics, public administration, business administration or economics.
  • An associate degree and two years of relevant work experience OR a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university may be used as an alternative for the years of required experience.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to prepare spreadsheets, graphs, and other visual aids.
  • Ability to manage workload to ensure that deadlines are met.
