About The Position

Huntington Beach Hospital is seeking a Public Safety Officer to provide security services and help maintain a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care for patients and visitors. The role includes electronic surveillance, systematic manual security rounds, coordinating the facility’s response to potential problems, and enforcing policies and procedures equitably. The officer follows established guidelines and continuous monitoring practices, works with the Environment of Care committee on security and safety, participates in employee awareness and education, and drives as needed for company business. Huntington Beach Hospital is a 131-bed acute-care community hospital and a member of the Prime Healthcare Foundation. The position is full-time with a variable shift. A reasonable compensation estimate, including estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $23.35 to $26.62; the exact starting compensation depends on factors such as skills, applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
State Guard Certification Registration Card.
State driver’s license upon hire, as required by the facility.
Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report, as required by the facility.

Experience in healthcare security or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities
