About The Position

Brian Communications is seeking an ambitious Public Relations Intern for the spring semester in Philadelphia. This paid internship provides college juniors and seniors, as well as post-graduate candidates, with hands-on experience in a strategic communications agency. The internship runs from late January through April, with a schedule that varies around the intern’s school commitments. The intern must work on-site at the Center City Philadelphia office on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays.

Requirements

Be a current college junior or senior, a rising junior or senior, or a recent post-graduate.
Be available throughout the internship program, which runs from late January through April.
Be able to work on-site at the Center City Philadelphia office on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays weekly, coordinated around the school schedule.
Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Be highly organized, have excellent time-management skills, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Have strong research and analytical capabilities.
Use professional discretion and handle confidential information appropriately.
Have a positive attitude and collaborative work style.
Have mastery of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Have experience and foundational knowledge in communications through coursework or internships.
Provide writing samples from previous internships or class projects and a LinkedIn profile as part of the application.

Responsibilities

Conduct media research, develop targeted media lists, monitor industry trends, and provide insights for communications strategies.
Track news cycles, identify trends, and assist with content production.
Support event logistics, vendor management, and campaign coordination.
Draft press materials, support media pitching, and help secure coverage for client announcements, events, and thought leadership initiatives.
Provide social media support and develop content for agency and client accounts.
Assist various departments and projects to gain exposure to agency operations.
