About The Position

829 Studios is seeking a creative, proactive, and detail-oriented PR Intern to join our growing team. This role is designed for a rising professional looking to gain hands-on agency experience across a diverse portfolio of clients, from healthcare to fashion. As a PR Intern, you will work closely with PR Specialists & Strategists to support the execution of media and influencer strategies, draft compelling content, compile creator targets and assist in securing high-impact press coverage. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn the ropes of integrated digital marketing while developing the foundational skills necessary for a successful career in public relations.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities with a sharp eye for detail and AP style.
  • Ability to quickly synthesize information and identify relevant media trends.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace/Slack; familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
  • A "can-do" attitude, a passion for brand storytelling, and an eagerness to learn from experienced PR professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in researching and building comprehensive media lists and editorial calendars using industry tools.
  • Conduct research to identify and vet influencer targets across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Draft and edit initial versions of pitches, press releases, and media alerts tailored to various client voices.
  • Conduct daily monitoring of industry news and client coverage; assist in compiling detailed reporting and competitor analysis.
  • Support the PR team in identifying trending news hooks and reaching out to media outlets.
  • Research upcoming industry awards or speaking opportunities for clients.
  • Manage deadlines for award submissions and help maintain organized project folders and internal documentation.
