About The Position

This position focuses on planning, guiding, and evaluating public health strategies that support childhood obesity prevention. It requires strong coordination, analytical skills, and collaboration with partners at the federal, state, and local levels. As a Public Health Program Administrator, you will perform the following duties: Program Planning: Gather data, develop goals, and guide public health strategies to improve nutrition and physical activity Partnership Coordination: Maintain relationships with agencies, stakeholders, and community groups to support program implementation Policy Analysis: Review regulations and legislation to inform program decisions and prepare formal analyses Evaluation Oversight: Develop tools, monitor outcomes, and identify improvements to strengthen program effectiveness Grant Management: Prepare applications, oversee contracts, and ensure compliance with funder requirements Communication Support: Create clear materials, share program updates, and explain evidence-based practices to partners and stakeholders

Requirements

  • One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions
