Requirements

  • One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and monitoring of cancer prevention and control initiatives
  • Maintain strong relationships with federal and statewide partners, coalitions, and stakeholders
  • Review guidance, legislation, and data to assess cancer control needs and opportunities
  • Use evidence and surveillance data to guide planning and identify gaps in cancer control activities
  • Develop plans and materials that share program progress, inform partners and the public, and meet accountability requirements
  • Administer grants and contracts to support statewide cancer control efforts
