The position may be in Anchorage, Bethel, Fairbanks, Homer, Juneau, Kenai, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Nome, and Wasilla, depending upon the location of the most qualified candidate. As a Public Assistance Field Services Manager 2 (PAFSM 2), you will work under the supervision of the Chief of Field Services. In this role, you will oversee multiple field offices across the state, providing guidance and direction to staff while collaborating with partner agencies. You will supervise multiple Eligibility Office Managers (EOMs), who are responsible for managing various eligibility and workload teams. Travel within the State of Alaska is required in this position.

Requirements

  • Experience leading or supervising staff and developing and managing programs or the delivery of services that provided economic assistance to dependent individuals and families and/or developed the self-sufficiency of dependent individuals and families.
  • Knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors in Principles, practices, and current developments in the field of public assistance and employment service.
  • Knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors in Principles and practices of sound management and leadership.
  • Knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors in Developing and motivating staff to achieve goals and objectives, to meet professional standards, and to optimize performance through teaching, mentoring, coaching, and sharing ideas and feedback.
