Please check out the residency definition to determine if you qualify. What you will be doing: Join our fun and mission-driven team in the Public Health Laboratory as an Administrative Assistant 2. In this role, you will: Coordinating a variety of administrative activities to maintain efficient workflow and operational continuity Supporting the entire laboratory staff with a wide range of administrative functions to facilitate efficient operations Overseeing and performing data entry related to laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established procedures If you are organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to lead while making a meaningful impact in public health, we’d love to have you on our team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • One year of experience that includes clerical tasks such as greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, or maintaining logs.
  • Education from an accredited college may substitute for the required experience (3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours equal one month of experience; 150 hours of vocation education equal one month of experience).
  • Possess some or all of the following position-specific competencies: Decision Making, Customer Service, Interpersonal Skills, Computer Skills, Self-Management.
  • Ability to set priorities and complete tasks in order to deliver desired outcomes within allotted time frames; and coordinates work activities with a variety of professional staff in a fast paced work environment.
