About The Position

The PT Program Advisor will provide essential advising, registration assistance, and support in navigating institutional requirements to current students. This role also involves providing career advising to help students select career pathways, planning and implementing retention and completion activities, and updating transfer plans for transfer universities. The advisor will collaborate with the Program Advisor Coordinator to develop, execute, and assess programs and services within the Advising, Career & Transfer department. Additional duties include assisting with the graduation application process and commencement activities, and serving as a liaison to build relationships with other advisors, offices, and departments.

Requirements

• Maintain processes and systems that improve the quality of customer support services.
• Demonstrate working functional knowledge and use of Banner and Microsoft Office.
• Must possess outstanding communication, critical thinking, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Demonstrate the desire to learn new software requirements to support office functions & efficiency.
• Adapt to learning new tasks & skills.
• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university required.
• Possess personal computer literacy and good organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience / training in one or more of the following areas: education, teaching, academic advising, recruiting, sales, customer service, marketing, or public relations – preferably at Community College level.
• Banner experience preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
