PT Air Ramp Supervisor
About The Position
This position supervises, trains, develops, and holds ramp employees responsible for safety, production, and attendance. The supervisor maintains high standards for productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, communication, cooperation, and safety. The role provides effective leadership and fosters working relationships with personnel throughout the organization. The position manages department resources and employee development while ensuring employees receive orientation, skills and safety training, regular evaluations, and coaching. It also ensures compliance with applicable safety policies and requirements.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 70 lbs./32 kgs.
- Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
- Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
Responsibilities
- Ensure employees comply with safety policies and procedures and with department, station, corporate, and local government requirements.
- Manage department resources to maximize output, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment emphasizing employee involvement, proactive communication, interdepartmental cooperation, and continual improvement.
- Implement employee personal development plans as needed to support professional growth.
- Ensure employees receive detailed orientation, skills and safety training, appropriate materials and information, regular evaluations, and proactive coaching.
- Hold ramp employees accountable for safety, production, and attendance.
