About The Position

Metro Psychotherapy & Counseling is a group private practice providing psychotherapy to young adults, middle-aged adults, the elderly, and couples. We serve a diverse range of communities, groups, and populations. We are committed to creating a safe and prosperous environment for both our clients and our staff. This is a remote position, and candidates must have a private and confidential area for remote video therapy. We offer $500 per year to eligible clinicians for trainings of their choice. We aim to deliver high-quality mental health care and foster professional growth, valuing learning, self-improvement, and curiosity. We seek motivated, creative therapists looking to innovate within the practice and who feel valued and heard. We offer competitive fee-for-service rates.

Requirements

Active NYS LCSW/LMSW/LMHC/MHC-LP license.
Proven success utilizing intervention, not limited to DBT, ACT and/or CBT.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Experience in psychiatric assessment and diagnosis.
Ability to maintain clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans.
Experience working with electronic medical records.
Reliable computer and internet service and appropriate remote work environment to ensure privacy and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

Candidates with formal training in Trauma or OCD are preferred.
Therapists who are passionate about providing inclusive and culturally competent mental health services.

Responsibilities

Provide intake assessments and administer psychotherapy to individuals and couples (if desired).
Maintain detailed clinical documentation in accordance with insurance and practice expectations.
Schedule appointments with patients.
Participate in weekly team meetings.
Perform a variety of other job-related responsibilities as requested.
