About The Position

This course focuses on major conceptual and empirical issues in the field of psychopathology, including contemporary diagnostic systems and procedures such as the DSM. The course is proposed to be delivered in-person.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in professional psychology (APA or CPA accredited program).
  • Registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario to provide clinical psychology services to adults.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and evidence of scholarship in psychopathology.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DSM-5 and ICD-11 diagnostic systems.
  • Extensive experience in assessing adults with a range of mental disorders.
  • Experienced in administration of Structured Clinical Interview for DSM Disorders.
  • Competency incorporating equity, diversity, and inclusion principles in teaching and/or training.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course content as outlined.
  • Maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
  • Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
  • Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor in case of an anticipated absence.
