About The Position

The Department of Psychology is establishing a pool of qualified student employee candidates for potential future openings. This role is ideal for responsible, friendly, dedicated, and detail-oriented individuals with strong organizational and communication skills who have a genuine interest in supporting the Psychology Department. The program offers meaningful experiential learning opportunities that develop transferable skills, allowing students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world professional settings and fostering personal and professional growth.

Requirements

Must currently be enrolled as an Ithaca College student.
Responsible, friendly, dedicated, detail-oriented individuals.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Strong interest in supporting the Dept. Psychology.
Completion of an online application.
Submission of a cover letter and resume via the Recruitment Cloud.
Inclusion of any relevant psychology courses taken and the name of the instructor.
Successful completion of the I-9 and employment eligibility requirements.
Original, unexpired, authorized personal identification documents for I-9 completion.

Nice To Haves

Preference given to Psychology Majors and Psychology Minors.
Junior standing or above preferred.

Responsibilities

Support faculty with classroom activities.
Prepare course materials.
Help track attendance.
Engage with students during and outside of class time.
Maintain classroom cleanliness.
Host tutoring sessions.
Duties will be dependent upon needs.
Additional skills and prerequisite experience may be required by the faculty member for specific course or professor support.
