About The Position

Family of Kidz has brought together highly qualified teams of professionals who work diligently to help children with special needs, from birth to adulthood. Our focus is on establishing a strong understanding of each child’s needs and teaching them skills that lead to greater independence and an enhanced quality of life. This role involves conducting psychological evaluations and writing comprehensive reports for children of various ages, utilizing research-based assessment tools. The position requires maintaining positive communication and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role can be part-time (fee-for-service) or full-time, with hours available during and/or after school. Compensation ranges from $200-$250 per evaluation, determined by service, experience, and licensure.

Requirements

  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology
  • NYS Licensed or Limited Permit Psychologist
  • New York State School Psychologist Certificate issued by the New York State Education Department
  • Experience working with or evaluating children on the autism spectrum
  • Experience evaluating preschool age children
  • Minimum of (1) year experience working in a setting focusing on supporting children and their families
  • Passionate to work with children, families and therapists

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and social/developmental histories for children of various ages
  • Utilize research-based assessment tools such as the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence-Fourth Edition; Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development-Fourth Edition; Conners Early Childhood Behavior Rating Scales; Behavior Assessment System for Children-3; Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales
  • Write a comprehensive and clear diagnostic and psychological report
  • Maintain positive communication between supervisors, employees and families
  • Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards
  • Participate in meetings as needed
