About The Position

HealthPlus Staffing is seeking a licensed Psychologist to join one of the largest and most respected community health organizations in Southwest Georgia. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary behavioral health team dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered mental health services across the region. As part of a nationally recognized Level III Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), you will provide comprehensive psychological assessments, evidence-based therapy, and individualized treatment planning while working alongside psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed counselors, social workers, and primary care providers. Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Active Georgia Psychologist license (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments and providing psychotherapy
  • Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards governing psychological practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Nice To Haves

  • Specialized training in crisis intervention or family therapy
  • Experience working with culturally diverse patient populations
  • Familiarity with behavior modification techniques and evidence-based psychotherapy modalities
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or community health setting

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Provide individual psychotherapy and mental health counseling
  • Deliver crisis intervention services for patients experiencing acute psychological distress
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions when appropriate
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, behavioral health providers, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Stay current with emerging psychological research and best clinical practices to enhance patient care
