About The Position

The psychology of the dying process. Denial of and vulnerability to death in contemporary times. Normal and problematic grief. Psychological aspects of the funeral. Current research in psychology of death and dying. This course is proposed in person.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology
  • Advanced knowledge of the course content area
  • Competence in French (language of instruction)
  • Successful completion of all mandatory legislated training as required by provincial law.

Nice To Haves

  • Passive competence in a second language.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course 'Psychologie de la mort et du mourant' (PSY3501 Section A00) during the Winter 2027 semester.
  • Maintain the assigned mode of course delivery (in-person).
  • Inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
  • Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if an absence is known in advance.
