Requirements

One year as a Psychological Services Specialist, DOC (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
Two years of professional experience in the field of psychology and a master's degree in psychology or a closely related field that includes fifteen graduate level credits in psychology or counseling
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA
Meet the PA residency requirement
Be able to perform essential job functions
Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements

Responsibilities

Direct and monitor the delivery of psychological services to ensure consistent, high-quality care across the institution
Offer clear direction and constructive feedback to Psychological Services Specialists, addressing clinical or performance needs with professionalism
Coordinate, track, and assign required psychological evaluations and assessments in collaboration with facility leadership
Maintain records of treatment groups and ensure staff provide mental health services that match patient needs
Manage leave approvals, conduct performance evaluations, and take appropriate disciplinary action when necessary
