Requirements

  • A master’s degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological treatment, implement interventions, educate individuals, and assist during crises
  • Conduct assessments, gather personal and clinical history, and document psychological testing
  • Update electronic health records with treatment plans, notes, assessments, and progress information
  • Promote high standards of care, uphold ethical guidelines, and participate in professional development
  • Help organize treatment team meetings, address goals, and support a trauma informed, collaborative environment
  • Collaborate with staff, attend meetings, assist with programming, and contribute to special projects
