About The Position

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join the team at State Correctional Institution-Forest in Marienville, PA. This role involves 30 hours per week, with a potential mix of on-site and telehealth coverage. Centurion Health is a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities nationwide and has partnered with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections since 2003 to offer mental healthcare services. The psychiatric team works with a clinically rich and diverse patient population, allowing ample time for initiating change, tracking progress, and conducting thorough follow-up care. The Psychiatrist will perform psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments for patients, work under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director, and provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team in delivering mental health services to patients with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues.

Requirements

• MD or DO.
• Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license and DEA.
• BE/BC by the ABPN.
• All qualified applicants are required to successfully complete a security clearance process as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

Responsibilities

• Provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for patients.
• Works under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director.
• Provides clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team in providing mental health services to patients with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues.
