About The Position

Seasoned Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Psychiatrist for a hybrid role in Putnam County, NY. This vital role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and education for patients of all ages, including children and adolescents. The position also includes essential clinical supervision for a team of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and contributing to agency policies for prescribers.

Requirements

• Board-eligible or board-certified psychiatrist.
• Medical degree with completed residency in child, adolescent, or adult psychiatry.
• Active New York State Medical License and DEA registration.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with both adults and children in a mental health setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations.
• Perform medication management.
• Provide education for patients of all ages, including children and adolescents.
• Provide clinical supervision for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
• Help shape agency policies for prescribers.
• Conduct thoughtful psychiatric evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Mentor and supervise a talented team of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team conferences.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed.
