About The Position
MindCare Solutions, a leader in comprehensive mental health solutions, is seeking a Correctional Psychiatrist. This role involves managing and providing overall direction and leadership for mental health services within a correctional facility. The primary responsibility is administrative and clinical coordination for the comprehensive mental health care program for inmates/residents. This is a part-time, hybrid position requiring 16 hours a month on-site.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Valid California medical license.

- Experience in correctional or detention facility settings is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with facility policies.
