Psychiatrist (Part Time)
About The Position
Mammoth Hospital’s Behavioral Health Department is looking to expand services with the addition of a dedicated part-time psychiatrist to support patients with a wide range of mental health needs. We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative integrated behavioral health environment. Someone with experience in working with the child and adolescent population is a plus, possibly board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry. This is a flexible position ideal for a physician seeking a better work-life balance, reduced hours, or supplemental income. There is an option for this position to be remote tele-health, with occasional need to be in person. Requirements
- MD or DO with a valid license to practice psychiatry in California
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
- Experience working with diverse populations, including adults and/or adolescents
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in working with the child and adolescent population
- Board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry
- Experience with telehealth
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication management
- Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and case managers to coordinate care
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Participate in case reviews and team meetings as needed
