About The Position

Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital, an affiliate of Fairview Health Services, is a new mental health treatment hospital in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota, offering inpatient and outpatient services for adults and seniors. The hospital is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join its clinical team. The role diagnoses and treats mental illnesses through psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and/or medication, and provides clinical services to patients at the facility.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO).
• Licensed in the state in which the facility operates.
• Board certification in psychiatry.
• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and in accordance with state regulations.

• One or more years of post-graduate practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to patients at the facility.
• Practice in accordance with medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations and corporate or facility policies and procedures.
• Review patients’ medical information to assess medical stability and offer medical recommendations.
• Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
• Treat patients or direct their treatment using psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
• Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, and document services and information in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidential documentation and ensure compliance and billing follow applicable policies and procedures.
