About The Position
Our mental health department at Valley View Hospital offers comprehensive behavioral healthcare services in Glenwood Springs and surrounding areas. Valley View’s mental health team specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions – because our local community's well-being is our top priority. This opportunity is for a licensed psychiatrist seeking to establish or expand their practice while working for an Independent Facility - Valley View. We are looking for a compassionate and highly skilled psychiatrist who is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and clinical excellence. This position will join our growing outpatient team, working collaboratively alongside an experienced psychiatrist and nurse practitioners to provide high-quality behavioral health services in a supportive clinical environment. Will include travel to support off-site clinics in Eagle Co, Silt Co, and Basalt Co. Come work where most vacation, in the Colorado Rockies. Work-life balance is important and we offer both.
Requirements
- Valid state of Colorado Medical License as an MD or DO
- Current DEA with no restrictions on prescribing controlled substance
- Board certification in psychiatry
- Basic Life Support (BLS), required.
- Graduation from an accredited medical school
Responsibilities
- Diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions.
- Provide high-quality behavioral health services in a supportive clinical environment.
- Travel to support off-site clinics in Eagle Co, Silt Co, and Basalt Co.
