About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Psychiatrist to join our outpatient medical team. The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive mental health care, including assessments, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic interventions for a diverse patient population. This role focuses on offering high-quality psychiatric care in a supportive outpatient environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Requirements

Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry; valid state medical license.
Board-certified is required
Skills: Strong clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency with EHR systems; ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Current documentation of Basic Life Support is required.
Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in general office
Proficient in Microsoft Office is a plus
Must be able to fluently speak, read and write English.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in an outpatient psychiatric setting is preferred but not required; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) preferred
Fluency in other languages are an asset.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for patients.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic modalities.
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Provide psychoeducation to patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, therapists, psychiatric NPs and primary care providers, to coordinate patient care.
Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of all patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, and continuing education activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
Uphold ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies.
Participates in planning and administrative decisions affecting program’s treatment approaches, technology, and quality of care.
Work on integration of behavioral health and primary care through Collaboration Model
Will be required to achieve productivity standards as set forth and outlined by department
Performs psychiatric reviews of charts and treatment plans.
May supervise psychiatric NP
Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.
