About The Position

Tower Health is seeking a Consultation Liaison / Emergency Psychiatrist to join its growing psychiatry practice in West Reading, Pennsylvania. The role includes managing a wide range of outpatient practices and covering emergent psychiatric needs. The physician will have the opportunity to practice the clinical skills for which they trained, with reasonable on-call responsibilities.

There may be opportunities to teach medical students and residents. Reading Hospital has an established psychiatry residency program and serves as the main training hospital for the medical school established through the partnership between Tower Health and Drexel University College of Medicine.

Requirements

• MD or DO.
• Licensed or eligible to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.
• Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry.
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency psychiatry.
• BLS certification.
• Pennsylvania license and DEA license.
• Current Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine License.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Microsoft Office applications proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage a wide range of outpatient psychiatric practices.
• Cover emergent psychiatric needs.
• Practice the clinical skills for which the physician was trained.
• Fulfill reasonable on-call responsibilities.
• Complete and maintain competencies and trainings required for the role.
