About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Psychiatrist - Addiction Services to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Psychiatry.
Active New York State Medical License.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical care for patients in the outpatient addiction clinic and opioid treatment program.
Diagnose substance use disorders and non-substance related addiction disorders and recommend treatment considering levels of care criteria.
Assist medical leadership with Quality Assurance and Process Improvement projects.
Teach and train fellows, residents, and medical students rotating on addiction services, including preparing didactic presentations.
Order and manage medications for addiction treatment, including for opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder.
Monitor the progress of individuals in treatment and review the appropriateness of continued treatment and level of care.
Contribute to the completion of Treatment Plans and Utilization Reviews.
Assist with the orientation of new physicians and staff in addiction services.
