About The Position
Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking Psychiatric RNs for an inpatient mental health or behavioral health unit in Springfield, Missouri. This position involves providing and coordinating care by assessing patients' physical and behavioral health needs across all age groups (Adult, Adolescent, and Child). The role includes developing and implementing nursing care plans, maintaining medical records, educating patients and families, and ensuring care is provided within the scope of nursing practice and facility policies. The RN will also be responsible for documenting patient status, notifying physicians of changes, and completing initial nursing treatment plans.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse: 1+ years - Required
- Recent/Current Inpatient Psychiatric Nursing or Behavioral health: 1+ year – Required
- Must be comfortable with all patient ages (Adult, Adolescent and Child) - Required
- Must be comfortable with paper charting
- ASN or an equivalent – Required
- RN License for State applying or Compact if accpeted in the state Required
- BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required
Nice To Haves
- BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
- CPI or HWC Certification - Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs in the assigned units (Adult, Adolescent, Child)
- Develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
- Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures.
- Ensure physicians’ orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure.
- Ensure patients’ status is assessed on an ongoing basis and pertinent information is gathered and documented.
- Notify physicians of significant changes in status.
- Ensure that initial nursing treatment plans are completed upon admission and that all nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs.
- Comfortable with paper charting
Benefits
- For Traveler - $50/hour ($20/hour taxable W-2 , $30/hour non taxable stipend) $1800 total weekly hour
- For Local - $49/hour, total weekly hour $1764
