About The Position

Caring Therapists of Broward is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their group practice in Port Orange, South Florida. The practice emphasizes a collaborative and positive-minded team environment. They offer a steady stream of referrals, marketing support, competitive compensation, and a supportive clinical setting with well-equipped office spaces. An in-house billing and intake team handle administrative tasks, allowing clinicians to focus on patient care. The role involves working with children (ages 4-18) and/or couples, and requires flexibility in working afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The position is structured as an independent contractor role.

Requirements

• Fully licensed in the State of Florida as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP)
• Current DEA certification
• Current CPR certification
• Willingness to be paneled with insurance companies
• Works with children, ages 4-18 and/or couples
• Willing to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends
• Willing to work 30 hours per week or more
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Ability to build rapport quickly
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy
• Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
• Proficient in Office products, Excel and Google documents, use of Electronic Medical Records
• Demonstrated ability to work well with professional colleagues, as well as those providing administrative support
• Entrepreneurial and growth mindset

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 2-year post-independent licensure
• Paneled with insurance
• Prior private practice experience

Responsibilities

• Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients
• Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
• Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
• Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling, evidenced-based treatment, and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress
• Involve and advise family members when appropriate
• Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary
• Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality
• Maintain proper licenses, certifications and follow professional guidelines, ethical standards
• Contribute to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed
• Collaborate with Caring Therapists administrative staff and management to exceed best practices and grow our organization
