Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner- Per Diem Temporary
About The Position
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry for a temporary per diem role in our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program. In this role you will manage medical and psychiatric interventions for individuals with opioid and other substance use disorders, overseeing methadone maintenance and induction protocols. Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner License
- Experience with adults in Mental Health field
- Available to work a flexible schedule a MUST
- Responsible for all documentation requirements per OMH regulations and agency policy
- Will have Collaborative Agreement with the Medical Director
- Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- Must have substance use experience
Responsibilities
- Assess participants utilizing the Clinical Component
- Provide medical services (medication assessment, lab work, prescriptions, etc.)
- Coordinate and collaborate with medical providers (primary care physicians, specialists, etc.)
- Crisis assessment and management (behavioral and medical)
- Complete all required documentation
- Provide education to individuals, their families and other service providers, as well as to staff.
