About The Position

GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking progressive, entrepreneurial per diem Nurse Practitioners with pediatric experience for its pediatric centers in Elwood, Hewlett, and Lake Success. The role is part of a diverse community of Northwell providers. GoHealth Urgent Care partners with Northwell Health to operate a network of more than 50 urgent care centers throughout the New York City metropolitan area and Long Island, providing access to urgent care through state-of-the-art technology and patient-access tools.

The centers are equipped with imaging, labs, and an advanced ECW EMR. Nurse Practitioners work with on-site Radiologic Technologists and Medical Assistants who assist with tasks such as taking vitals, reviewing medications, applying splints, and administering medications and vaccines. The role offers autonomy with mentoring and support, flexible scheduling options, opportunities to trade or pick up shifts, and the option to rotate among locations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of full-time experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting treating patients of all ages (6 months and older).
• Comfort with minor procedures, including sutures and splints.
• Comfort with overview readings of EKGs and X-rays.
• Pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients of all ages, including children age 6 months and older, in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting.
